Teddy's place was established in 1984 by Sharlot Bogart. Her experience in early elementary education, special education, and thirty years working in group childcare centers gave her the strong base she needed to establish a family child care center.
In the beginning, Teddy's Place started with a pre-school program for only eight children. In 1991 the decision was made to expand to a group child care center, and began enrollment for children ages six weeks to twelve years. Before long Teddy's had grown to 96 children and became an incorporated business.
Although Teddy's Place continues to grow, the center has always focused on the families of the community.
Teddy's Place is licensed by the State of Wisconsin and complies with the Rules for Day Care Centers for Children.
